Hi! I'm Bob from Britcanada.com and
my specialty is
helping people with their trip planning to Britain and/or Ireland. I
may not be the best informed on the subject, but I must be close. I
think I can confidently say I am, without doubt, more willing to help
than most! I have passion on my side and would love to share it with
you.

* You definitely want to have assurance that your travel
will
be hassle
free and enjoyable. You don't want to waste
time finding things or
figuring things out. With my first-hand experience and knowledge of the
territory, we can do that.
* You probably want information on the best ways to
travel to and around these beautiful lands.
* You maybe want to know where the best
sights are.
How you can figure out just how many of
them it would be possible to see in the time available. (Although Great
Britain could easily fit into about 1/3 of Alberta, there is just
so much variety of scenery, history and culture.)
* Perhaps you don’t have time to do a lot of research on the
net. Maybe or you've been doing that, only to find that there
are more
questions raised than answers found. Don't sweat it...together
we can break it all down into digestible bites.
There is so much you can do, both in UK
and Ireland, it can get overwhelming and more
than a little confusing! Then there are always the questions about "Can
I trust the companies I find on the net?" Well, mostly, you
can. However, there are some that maybe exaggerate at times :-) I've
been to travel trade shows over there and have met with/worked with a
number of suppliers of travel product that I know I can trust. That's
important when you are actually placing other people in their hands.
How could you ever trust me if I couldn't trust them?
I'm an ex-pat from UK, living in Alberta. I've lived
in England, Scotland and N.Ireland. I'm a registered destination
specialist with all of the tourism boards (VisitBritain, VisitWales,
VisitScotland and Tourism Ireland) On my website you will find answers
to many of your questions...plus -
* Lots of information about UK & Ireland to whet your appetite.
(As
far as possible I will try to pass on first-hand information to you.
Where this is not possible, I will say so. There are things we learn
from good second-hand sources and some things we absorb from our
surroundings that can be very adequate. E.G. I regularly watch a
programme on BBC Canada called 'Escape to the Country' that goes all
over England, showcasing various towns and areas. I learn a lot from
it. I also subscribe to 'In Britain', 'Scotland' and 'Ireland'
magazines and devour them, cover to cover. I keep up with the UK and
Ireland news as best I can and go over there at least once a year. You
get the drift! What I'm trying to say is that I'm active in
maintaining an up to date reference base so that I can service you from
a full cup.)
* Top 10 lists of places to see and things to do - from the
Tower of London to the Whisky Trail, from Stonehenge to Skye, from
Highland Games to the world's best golf in Ireland.... (From time to
time you may notice that I have a slight bias towards Ireland. I
confess this is true. If I'm ever going to be convicted of anything, I
will be pleased if it's this!)
* Some useful 'add-ons' that may be of interest to you in planning your
trip.
* How to get a Free
mobile phone you can use whenever you visit the
UK. Yes, you can keep it!
* Newsletter - if you would like me to send you my newsletter (approx.
twice a month unless something really interesting comes up) please
Newsletters are only sent by request and can be cancelled anytime.
* Self-serve options you can use once you get there if you are taking a
'follow your nose' type vacation, including "online tools" your travel
agent doesn't want you to know about.
* Above all of those, I offer you a FREE INITIAL
CONSULTATION
just to let you get to know me and see if we
can work together! Most of my clients become friends. I like to think
it is because my priority of taking time to get to know you, is time
well spent. It's all part of my Irishness...don't y' know!?
